Police charge two Loyalist men with aggravated assault and robbery

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment responded to a report of a serious assault on Coronation Blvd shortly before 11 p.m. on Feb. 1. Officers arrived and discovered two individuals had been assaulted and an edged weapon was used. One individual was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Two individuals were located shortly thereafter and arrested.

David Woodhouse, age 21 from Odessa, and Jermell Henderson, age 20 from Loyalist Township, were charged with the following offences:

  • Unlawfully in a dwelling house
  • Assault
  • Aggravated assault
  • Robbery with theft
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

Henderson was further charged with:

  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Both parties were held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on Feb. 2.
