Police charge Napanee woman with trafficking methamphetamine

The East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has executed a search warrant at a residence in Greater Napanee and charged a female for drug trafficking.

On May 9, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the search warrant was executed by members of the CSCU at a residence on Centre Street North in Greater Napanee. One female was located and arrested within the residence, then transported to the L&A County detachment. Search of the residence revealed a quantity of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a cell phone were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Shelley Veley, 55 years old, of Greater Napanee, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on June 25 at 9 a.m.
