Megan Smith, the business manager at the Napanee and District Chamber of Commerce, says things are coming together for the NDCC’s Lifestyle Showcase at the Strathcona Paper Centre Oct. 26 from 3:30-7:30 p.m.

“We have thousands of dollars worth of prizes, including an Apple iPad Air 2, Kingston Frontenacs tickets and really great local prizes from many of our shops and restaurants,” said Smith.

“The other great thing that we are having is the live demonstrations.”

Smith says the event will feature demonstrations from fitness to cooking to computers. “It’s just a variation of demonstrations throughout the night. It’s a cool feature,” she said.

The showcase will also include more than 35 individual exhibitors. Among those booked to display include financial institutions, health-and-wellness business and travel agencies. Smith said that non-profit organizations such as L&A Seniors Outreach Services and the Napanee and Area Community Health Centre will also be part of the event.

The event’s lead sponsor is Tammy Lloyd Bookkeeping Services. Smith said that the first 100 people through the door will receive swag bags featuring items from exhibitors and NDCC members. Greater Napanee Emergency Services will run a charity barbecue.

”It’s just a great opportunity to meet Napanee businesses that support your lifestyle,” Smith says of the event. “We just want to draw the community in.”
