The Napanee Canadian Tire Peewee AE Stars had a busy holiday with a ‘B’ final win in an Orono tournament. They faced Mariposa and got a solid 6-3 win. Earlier in the day they were 6-4 winners over Minto AE, but dropped a 6-2 decision to Millbrook.

In league play, they lost a fast-paced match with Brighton, falling 5-3. They traded goals in the first on the strength of a Caleb South tally. Down by one in the second, a great three way passing play led to a rebound which Cameron Pearson buried. Brighton scored late in the second, and early in the third before Duncan Clarke made it 5-3 on a Nate Vanberkyl feed from the side of the net. Goalie Ben Buxton was solid between the posts.

  •  The AFW Construction Novice Stars earned a 6-2 win in Warsaw over the Douro Dukes to make it four wins in a row.
  •  The Napanee Bantam BB Stars edged Tweed 5-4 at home on Saturday. Each team had three goals in the first. For Napanee, Oronhyathe Green, Quinton Pierce, and John Hearns found the back of the net. Down by one to start the third, Jacob Boutilier scored twice with assists to Andy Ruttan.
  • After a 6-3 loss to Brighton earlier, the Napanee Cab Midgets faced the league leading Douro Dukes on Saturday, and gained a well-deserved 1-1 tie. A defensive struggle, Cal Doyle got the only goal for the locals.  Kyle Weese earned an assist for the only goal of the first. The visitors scored early in the third to complete the scoring.
  • The Atom BB Stars routed Campbellford 8-0 with Matthew Airhart contributing a hat trick for the hometown squad. They continue to lead the league, and are undefeated with three games remaining.
