OPP seek suspect in purse snatching

The OPP is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect related to an incident on Saturday night.

At around 9:45 p.m., Napanee OPP officers received a complaint of a robbery that happened near the parking lot beside the post office on Centre Street in Napanee.

A female victim told police that she was pushed to the ground and her purse was stolen. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The suspect was believed to be a male wearing a sweater (possible a hoodie, dark in colour), dark pants, and dark coloured black ball cap with a white emblem on the side. He was described as having a dark complexion and short dark hair.

The OPP Forensic Identification Unit assisted with the investigation, and the Napanee OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
