OPP responds to theft complaint on Christmas Day

The Napanee OPP is looking for information that might help apprehend a real-life Grinch.

Police were called to the Richmond Laundry on Bridge Street around 6 p.m. Dec. 25 to respond to reports unknown suspects had damaged several coin-operated laundry machines and taken a large quantity of coins from them some time that day. The OPP is seeking witnesses to the crime or any information that may help identify the thieves.

– In other police news, Napanee OPP officers responded to a road rage incident on Hwy 401 near Quinte West Dec. 22. Two eastbound vehicles were allegedly passing one another aggressively and cutting one another off. A Jeep flipped, while a Chevy Impala lost control and came to rest in the centre median. Both drivers — a 20-year-old Monkland,Ont. man and a 53-year-old Burlington man — were charged with careless driving.
