The Lennox and Addington OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation of a suspicious fire.
Thursday morning at around 2:30 a.m., OPP officers responded to a structure fire at a sawmill on County Road 14 in Stone Mills Township. The Stone Mills Fire Department was already on scene battling the flames of the fully engulfed building. The sawmill was heavily damaged and the cause of the blaze is considered suspicious by fire officials.
Members of the L&A County Detachment are assisting the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office with the investigation and are seeking public assistance. Anyone with information on this incident should contact the L&A County Detachment at: 613 354 3369 or 1-800-310-1122.
