A patient’s stay at Lennox and Addington County General Hospital will be a little more cozy thanks to a donation from Ontario Power Generation.

Last week OPG’s Mark Armstong, director of plant operations for the Lennox Generating Station and Matt Mulvihill, OPG’s stakeholder relations stopped by the hospital to present a cheque for $15,0000 to LACGH Foundation members Adrienne Harris-Hale and Robert Hough. The money will be put towards blanket warmers that will be given to patients recovering from surgery.

“We’re just really pleased to be able to offer this donation,” said Armstrong. “OPG really believes hospitals are cornerstones in every community and a well run and well-funded hospital is critical to the health of the community.”

OPG has been one of the hospital’s biggest supporters over the years, having now donated $101,000 to the foundation.
