One Book, One L&A has been encouraging individuals, book clubs, organizations and employers to ‘get on the same page’ since 2014. The event wraps up with an author visit in October during Canadian Library Month.
L&A Libraries is excited to announce that Zoe Whittall’s The Fake will be our 2023 One Book, One L&A read. Zoe Whittall is a Giller shortlisted author and is a Canadian Screen Award-winning TV and film writer. Her novels are The Best Kind of People and The Spectacular and she has written and contributed to the Baroness von Sketch Show, Schitt’s Creek and Degrassi: the Next Generation.
Her newest book, The Fake tells the story of two vulnerable people, Shelby and Gibson that meet Cammie, a seemingly perfect partner but soon Cammie’s true colours come out and she may not be all that perfect after all. The Fake has been described as a ‘sharp, emotional novel about lies, liars and the people who love them.’
