On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Dressing Room in Belleville will be hosting a Fall Fashion Fling at Bath’s St. John’s Community Hall, with all proceeds being donated to the hall.

The tickets are $25 and the event will feature finger foods and a complimentary glass of wine or punch, as well as a cash bar.

In anticipation of the event, Debbie Noiles, who helped organize, spoke with the Beaver.

“This is an event to support the St. John’s Community Hall, which is the focal point of the community. It belongs to the Anglican Diocese but the community uses it for everything from Canada Day to raising funds for Canada Day. As well, the church provides some community events at the hall,” states Noiles. “They provide a senior’s luncheon and game playing once a month as a form of outreach. The Victorian Order of Nurses does two free exercise class there per week. We do not charge them for the use of the hall. There are also local artisans who have displays and art shows there.”

“The community needs the hall and the hall needs the community,” said Noiles. Considering the varied groups of people that use the hall and are in need of the programs there, the funds raised, as Noiles stated, are intended to enhance the hall’s accessibility.

The Dressing Room will be providing the clothing as well as providing patrons with a $20 gift coupon to their store. As well, there will be a raffle, with prizes including a golf package and dinner coupons.

With an objective to raise approximately $2,000, the organizers of this event hope to have at least 120 attendees. The event will be running from 2p.m.- 5 p.m at 216 Church St. in Bath.
