Nominees for Napanee Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards announced

Napanee and District Chamber of Commerce’s ninth annual Business Excellence Awards are set to take place online on Oct. 28.

A total of nine awards will be handed out across diverse categories representing businesses in Greater Napanee, Stone Mills, Addington Highlands and Loyalist Township. The awards are held to recognize local businesses, employees and owners who have had success in the Lennox and Addington region.

Finalists for each category have been announced.

For the Napanee and District Chamber of Commerce Award its between Cando Information Technologies and Napanee Home Hardware.

Youth Employee of the Year Award nominees include Alex Calver, Chloe Youmans, Ian Isbester and Ryder Phillips.

The Customer Service Award-Small Business potential winners are Critter Comforts, Herb Haven, Horner’s Auto, The Spa Company, Napanee Home Furniture and Appliances and Coffee Cravings.

In the Medium Business Category the nominees are Santorini Mediterranean Grill, Boyers GM Napanee and Wallace’s Drug Store.

In the New Business Award category the finalists are Access Automotive, 41 Cannabis Co., All-Tech Communications, Kimmett’s Tree Service.

Up for the the Workplace Wellness Award is The Napanee Beer Company, Gray’s IDA Drugstore and The Playground Licensed Child Care.

The Milestone Award finalists are Autism Network LAC, Herb Haven, Davis and Davis Napanee Inc. and L&A Mutual Insurance Co.

A Beautification Award will also be presented.

This year’s event will feature a new award known as the Social Impact Award. Nominees for that award include McCormick’s, Spin to Win Napanee-Sharon Macdonald and Autism Network LAC.

The winners will be determined by the Business Excellence Awards Panel, which includes PELA CFDC, MyFM 88.7, The Napanee Beaver, The Township of Stone Mills, Greater Napanee and Loyalist Township, in addition to the organizing Committee for the Business Achievement Awards.

The awards will be streamed live on the NDCC’s Facebook page.
