Together with the Downtown Greater Napanee BIA, The Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce will partner once again to host the Greater Napanee and Area Business Awards on Oct. 29.

The awards are a casual and fun evening for the community to celebrate with each other and recognize the attributes and accomplishments of local businesses within Greater Napanee, Loyalist Township and Stone Mills. In previous years the event has been held in-person at various locations across Greater Napanee. This time around however, due to COVID-19, the awards will be held online and streamed for all to see for free. More details on that are set to be released in the coming days.

“These are truly unprecedented times, and we will not be able to deliver our Greater Napanee & Area Business Achievement Awards in the usual manner for 2020. That said, now more than ever, we know it is so important to recognize our local business community and all that it stands for,” states Megan Sands, business manager with the Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature twelve awards being presented as well as videos from sponsors. Members of the community can nominate businesses online through the website www.napaneebusinessawards.com starting now until Sept. 30. Anyone looking to support the event through sponsorship should contact the Chamber no later than Sept. 25. Awards include: Napanee Business Improvement Area Award (Members only Vote), Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce Award (Members only Vote), Customer Service Award (small, medium and large), Young Entrepreneur Award, Youth Employee of the Year Award, Communities in Bloom Commercial Award, Workplace Wellness Award, Milestone Award, New Business Award, and a newly created Pivot Award.
