NDSS’ Top Grads of 2021

Napanee District Secondary School held a socially distanced and virtual graduation at the end of June to bid farewell to the Class of 2021, while also recognizing some outstanding achievements.

Top award winners included:

Ashley Groth was the Top Academic Winner with an average of over 97 per cent.
She was also awarded:
Charlotte Uens Scholarship
C. G. McGreer Scholarship
Richard Briese Memorial Scholarship
highest Academic Awards for the Class of 2021: Kinsmen Club Senior Proficiency Award
C.D. Fox Memorial Award
Napanee Memorial Scholarship
Charles S. Froud Award
Governor General Academic Bronze Medal
Ashley also won a number of subject-based Awards of Excellence.
She is heading to Queens to study Health Sciences in the Fall.

 

Gracey Shea was one of two leading graduates.
Her awards include:
Charlotte Uens Scholarship
Golden Hawk Volunteer Award at the Gold level
Napanee Lions Club Award
OPP Youth Foundation Bursary
Students’ Council Leading Graduate Award
Gracey also won a number of subject-based Awards of Excellence.
Gracey is heading into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree program through St. Lawrence College.

 

Ben White was also a leading graduate.
His awards include:
Students’ Council Leading Graduate Award
Olive Salsbury Award as well as subject-based Awards of Excellence
Ben is returning for year five before hoping to head to Queens for Civil Engineering.

 

NDSS’ Class of 2021 Valedictorian was Carter Branson.
Carter graduated with a Specialist High Skills Major in the Transportation sector. He is returning for year 5 before hoping to attend the University of Windsor for Automotive Engineering.
