NDSS celebrates Class of 2022

Napanee District Secondary School celebrated their 2022 graduates on Wednesday with a special ceremony held at the Strathcona Paper Centre.

The graduation service also included the presentation of major awards and scholarships. Among the students to receive special recognition were:

Matt Alkenbrack (Calum Jack Hackett-McArdle Award, Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, Subject Awards of Excellence in Instrumental Music and Guitar, Specialist High Skills Major in the Arts and Culture Honours, Ontario Scholar).

Elle Chapman (Dr. C.G. McGreer Scholarship, Charlotte Uens Award for University, Masonic Award, Golden Hawk Volunteer Award at the Bronze Level, Health and Active Living Certificate, NDSS Alumni Association Award, Subject Awards of Excellence in Business Leadership, Advanced Functions, Recreation and Leadership Honours, Ontario Scholar)

Evann Folkins (OSSTF Scholarship Award, Dr. C.G. McGreer Scholarship, Kinsmen Club Of Napanee Senior Proficiency Award, C.D. Fox Award, Napanee Memorial Scholarship, Subject Awards of Excellence in Cooperative Education, Business Leadership, Society Challenge and Change, Advanced Functions, University English Honours, Ontario Scholar)

Riley Bird-Lyman (Hawk Spirit Award, Golden Hawk Volunteer Award at the Gold Level, Emily Teeple Award, Honours).

Marshal Graham (James Worley Cooperative Education Award, Learn and Work Bursary, Golden Hawk Volunteer Award at the Bronze Level, Honours, Ontario Scholar)

Quinn Jackson (Goodyear Scholarship, Charles S. Froud Award, Governor General’s Academic Bronze Medal-first awarded in 1873, this award has become one of the most prestigious awards that a student in a Canadian educational institution may receive. The bronze medal is awarded to the student in the graduating class who achieves the highest overall average in all Grade 11 and 12 courses, Subject Awards of Excellence in Senior Computer Sciences, International Business, Advanced Functions, University Law, Calculus and Vectors, Honours, Ontario Scholar)

Sadie Frigault (Valedictorian, Charlotte Uens Award for University, Lifetouch Canada Award, Healthy and Active Living Certificate, Honours, Ontario Scholar)
