Napanee’s Scott Chadwick will aim to ‘lead’ the Beuk rink to the Brier, starting Sunday night in Cobourg.
Chadwick will serve as lead for Jonathan Beuk’s curling team at the Ontario Tankard, starting with a match against Brett Lyon-Hatcher, starting at 7 p.m.
Patrick Janssen and David Staples make up the rest of Beuk’s team, which is affiliated with the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club.
The Ontario Tankard field is made up of 12 of the province’s top mens’ curlers vying for the right to represent Ontario at the Brier, which will take place Feb. 28 to March 9 in Kelowna, BC.
The Tankard action runs all week long with the finals set for Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m.
Chadwick, who just turned 33 on Thursday, has previously captured a Tankard title, doing so in 2019 as a member of Scott McDonald’s rink.
