Napanee U13 Stars get back to winning ways as minor hockey season restarts

The Napanee Stars, picked up where they left off after their unplanned break, putting more tallies in the win column. The Desjardin Insurance U13s downed Gananoque 10-3 on Goodyear ice. Keegan York and Cal Wilson each had hat tricks, while William Babcock, Colton Lockridge, Jack Sutton, and Ben Kerr each had singles. They were granted a 1-0 win in their match with Centre Hastings when their opponents could not ice a team. In Wellington on Sunday, they scored the first five on their way to an 8-3 win over Prince Edward County. Goal scorers were Cooper Seaton, Brayden Hartwick, Lian Mulder, Brock Alaver, Oliver Kimmett, Babcock, and Kerr with two.

The U18 squad shut out Bancroft 6-0 on Saturday to regain first place in their league. Quinton Pierce got the first of two, one being the winner, half way through the first frame. Austin Catena, and Luc Amat also tallied, with Spencer Cranley chipping in a pair. On Sunday in Wellington, the U-18 boys were full measure controlling Prince Edward County 8-0. Marshall Maracle got the winner two minutes in, Pierce netted a hat trick, Amat had two, while Ethan Martin, and Catena had singles.

The U13 Tomlinson Group AE Stars faced a tough Frontenac team, and fell 7-0 at the reopened Strathcona Paper Centre.
