Napanee Stars Report: U11 Stars blowout Bancroft and Gananoque to move into first

-The Tomlinson Group U11 Napanee Stars travelled to Bancroft to show the host goalie more rubber than a Goodyear worker sees, to win 11-0. John Dory, Casey Allore, and Keegan Wilde each scored twice. Sunday, they were 8-1 winners over Gananoque. That puts them first in their league with a 12-2-0 record.

-The Desjardin Insurance U13 team travelled to Norwood to shut out their hosts 9-0. Cal Wilson and Ben Kerr each scored twice. At home, they were 12-1 victors. Colton Lockridge and Cooper Seaton each tallied twice, and Lockridge added three assists. They outshot their opponents 34-7 to maintain a 10-0 record.

-The U15 squad struggled in Norwood to be edged 2-1. Carter Slaven tallied in the losing cause. Saturday they were solid 5-1 winners over Centre Hastings. Early in the first, Luke Asselstine sent a wrister from the point which Dylan Kemp put into the back of the net. Mitchell Turner went top shelf for the winner in the second frame. Slaven, with two, and Kemp rounded out the Stars’ scoring. Miles Jones made the score sheet, too, with an assist, as they outshot their foe 31-21. They shut out Brighton 8-0 on Sunday.

-The U18s were 4-1 winners over Otonabee on Saturday at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Jack Madden scored in the first minute, and Austin Catina tallied the winner in the second minute. Spencer Cranley and Luc Amat also scored allowing the team to maintain their 12-0-1 record with no losses in league play.

-The Conger’s Plumbing U13 AEs suffered a winless weekend losing 9-1 in Picadilly facing Frontenac, and being shut out 6-0 in Amherstview.
