Napanee OPP seek suspect in Gibbard District break in

Napanee OPP are looking for this suspect who was caught on camera at the Gibbard District building on Nov. 6.

Napanee OPP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who broke into the Gibbard District building on Nov. 6.

Police arrested one of the two suspects, who were caught on camera, earlier this week.

The male suspect, 39 years of age, was arrested for break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence contrary and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the second suspect who was also captured on video surveillance.

-On Tuesday officers with Napanee OPP and Highway Safety Division responded to a report of a rear end collision on the eastbound Hwy 401 exit ramp at Centre Street. 

Police arrived and arrested the driver of the vehicle that struck the other vehicle from behind. 

Charged with operating a motor vehicle while over 80 mgs was a 42 year-old from Mississauga.

He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on Nov. 27.

-On Monday Napanee OPP responded to a report of a dispute at a Meadow Lane residence in the Town of Greater Napanee.

 As a result of the police investigation a 19 year-old was charged with three counts of assault and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

 He was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing this afternoon in the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee.
