Napanee Chamber of Commerce to host all-candidates meeting Sept. 7 at Lion’s Hall

Napanee and District Chamber of Commerce is planning to host an all-candidates meeting for the upcoming federal election at the Napanee Lion’s Hall on Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

The event will be a hybrid of in-person as well as streamed live on Facebook. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the event will be limited to 50 people inside the hall. While most of that number will be taken up by the candidates, staff and event organizers, there could be a small number of seats available to the public. The Chamber will announce soon how to apply to be selected to attend in person.

Questions will be prepared by the organizing committee prior to the event and will not be revealed to candidates before hand.

Candidates have until Aug. 30 to be officially registered with Elections Canada to have their name appear on the ballot.

The election is set for Sept. 20 with advance polling beginning on Sept. 10.
