Napanee Chamber launches shop local campaign

The Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce (NDCC) in partnership with the County of Lennox and Addington have kicked off a special shop local campaign to support businesses and to encourage people in Lennox and Addington to shop local.

The purpose of the program is to support Canada’s small businesses and economic recovery.

“Small businesses are cornerstones of our local economies and key to thriving communities— creating jobs, driving innovation, and generating wealth for Canadians. Local businesses have always been there for us and need our support now more than ever,” said Executive Director Megan Sands from the Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce. “Together, we can make a difference for local businesses and help move our economic recovery forward.”

The shop local campaign is a brand-new initiative in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to help small business successfully recover from the pandemic. Here in Lennox and Addington, the NDCC and the County of Lennox and Addington will support local businesses through: features on Global TV Kingston, 88.7 myFM, The Napanee Beaver, The Frontenac News and will have a strong presence on Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads. In addition, viewers are asked to submit stories about their favourite experiences for a chance to win a $500 L&A shopping spree.

“Shop Local investments will encourage Canadians to support their local small businesses, helping them recover quicker. As we work to get through this pandemic, we all have a role to play to support all small business owners and entrepreneurs,” added Sands.

The purpose of Shop Local is to respond to the unique circumstances in regions across the country and allow chambers of commerce/boards of trade to tailor campaigns to local needs and priorities, and ultimately help small businesses as they recover from this unprecedented public economic crisis.
