Nabuurs stops 27 as Raiders win seventh straight

Ryan Casselman scored a pair of goals Friday night to power the Napanee Raiders to a 3-1 home win over the Amherstview Jets, their seventh win in a row.

Casselman scored one in the first and another late in the second, sandwiched around one from Griffen Conger.

Evan Hunt broke the shutout early in the third for Amherstview’s lone goal of the night.
That was all Nicholas Nabuurs would allow as he turned in a strong performance with 27 saves for the win. His Jets counterpart Keegan Paulette had an impressive night of his own, showing off some highlight reel glove saves, racking up 35 stops in the losing effort. The Raiders go for their eighth in a row tonight when they travel to Campbellford.
