MURISON, Robert (Doug) Douglas

It is with great sadness that we announce Doug’s passing at the John M. Parrott Centre surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Husband of the late Anne Murison. Remembered and loved by his daughter Patricia (Joseph MacKeen), sons Christopher (Arlett), and Andrew (Jane Obrecht), grandchildren Kennedy, Meritt, Olivia, Jayden, Tylan, Emma-Jane, and Knox. Predeceased by brother Terry (Dorothy). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends he has made throughout the years.
Doug was a resident of Napanee since 1980, retiring in 1996 with over 30 years of service with the Ontario Provincial Police. He was a member of the Napanee Golf Club for many years, and a dedicated participant and organizer of Men’s Night. Doug loved golf, playing cards, and watching the Blue Jays and the Leafs. He enjoyed spending time fishing, taking his family on vacations up north and planning many great golf trips to Myrtle Beach. Doug is remembered as someone who was always willing to listen and help out, whether it be a family member, stranger or friend in need.
The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A memorial service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00am with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. For those who are unable to attend the service in person you may watch the service by joining us on Zoom.
