Maddi Wheeler and the Wisconsin Badgers are headed back to the NCAA women’s hockey finals.
Wisconsin University defeated Colgate 3-1 in Friday’s semifinals in Durham, NH, securing a trip to Sunday’s finals where they’ll take on the top ranked Ohio State. Puck drop will be 4 p.m. with the game broadcast on ESPNU. This will mark a rematch of last year’s finals, which the Badgers won 1-0.
Wheeler had a shot on goal and six minutes in penalties in Friday’s semifinal game.
Now in her fourth year with the Badgers, the Erinsville native is looking to add a third national university hockey title to her resume.
