Erinsville’s Maddi Wheeler has recorded a point a game at the U18 National Women’s Hockey Championship, leading Ontario Red to a perfect 3-0 record in pool play in the tournament held Winkler, Man.
Wheeler had a goal in her team’s 5-2 win over Team Atlantic followed by one assist each in Wednesday’s 4-1 win over Alberta and Thursday’s 4-2 win against Saskatchewan.
The playoffs are set to begin this afternoon, with match ups yet to be finalized. A win today would advance Ontario Red to Saturday’s gold medal game.
