The NDSS Golden Hawks junior girls’ volleyball team is back in the KASSAA finals with a chance to repeat and defend their title.
They’ll take on the Frontenac Falcons for the league championship Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. at Kingston’s St. Lawrence College.
Napanee earned their spot in the finals on Monday after defeating the Kingston Secondary School Bears 3-1 in the semifinals. Frontenac enters the finals as the third seed, having gone 9-3 in the regular season. They knocked off the second ranked Sydenham Golden Eagles to reach the finals.
-Meanwhile on the ice the NDSS Golden Hawks girls’ hockey team blanked Sydenham 6-0 at the SPC on Monday afternoon, closing out the regular season in third place with a record of 4-1-1, two points back of the first place 5-0-1 Holy Cross Crusaders.
They’ll take on the sixth seed Regi Panthers in the KASSAA quarter-finals on Tuesday, 3 p.m. at the Invista Centre.
