Lineup announced for Napanee’s June 1 Youth Battle of the Bands

Some of this region’s best young musical talent will be on display at the Youth Battle of the Bands and Vendor Show, taking place June 1 at the Napanee Fairgrounds.

The audition phase is now wrapped up and the lineup of entertainment is set featuring five bands, four solo acts and a duo.

Doors will open at 2 p.m. with D-Shoots kicking off the show at 2:30 p.m. The entertainment will keep on rocking from there with Walker Budd (2:50 p.m.), Hayden Leduc (3:10 p.m.), Mason Forsey Mackinnon (3:30 p.m.), Mya and Isaac (3:50 p.m.), INTOLERATE (4:50 p.m.), Leitch (5:15 p.m), The Pangea Project (5:30 p.m.), The Blue Doors (5:55 p.m.), QCHS Rock Band Club (6:20 p.m.), Glow (6:45 p.m.), Switzerville Sounds (7:10 p.m.), The Teez (7:35 p.m.), Third Time’s a Charm (8 p.m.) Interrobang (8:25 p.m.) and Euphoria closing the show at 8:50 p.m.

Along with entertaining the audience, the bands will be playing before a panel of music industry expert judges, with prizes at stake for the top acts.

Judges will pick the winners starting at 9 p.m.

“Most of our performers are 20 (years old) and under so its a lot of young talent and it’s amazing to see,” said Jasmine Bailey, event organizer. “These kids are good and it’s all genres. We have everything from classical rock to hard metal. A lot of 70s and 80s music.”
