All schools within the Limestone District School Board and Algonquin Lakeshore District School Board could be closed Friday if the union representing Ontario’s education workers walk off the job.

Both school boards have announced their schools would be closed in the event of job action for the union. They would then move to remote learning if the strike continued on Monday.

“The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) have announced that they will participate in a full withdrawal of services on Friday, November 4, 2022. As a result, all ALCDSB schools will be closed to students that day to ensure health and safety. Details: ow.ly/aqiy50Lr9Av” reads a tweet from the ALCDSB.
