Lennox and Addington OSPCA seeking purr-fect names for two feline families

A handful of yet-to-be-named kittens were recently brought to Napanee's Lennox and Addington OSPCA Animal Centre. The kittens are first seeking names and then will soon be on the look for forever homes.

The Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre is asking the community to get creative and help name 13 kittens and their co-parenting moms who have just come into the care of the animal centre.

Between the two litters, there are eight females and five males thought to be about four weeks old. The kittens are being raised by two mother cats, both of whom also need names and are sharing their kitten-rearing duties. These feline families were found living under a deck and were brought to the animal centre to receive care.

Once they are old enough, the kittens, as well as their mothers, will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and placed up for adoption to find loving forever homes.

If you are interested in naming the kittens, follow the Lennox & Addington Animal Centre on Facebook @OSPCA.LennoxAddington and leave your suggested name in the comments. The centre will be posting about the kittens and collecting names this week.

“These kittens and their moms need names and we’re inviting our supporters to help us name them,” says Esther McCutcheon, Manager, Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre. “We’re excited to see the name suggestions and look forward to being able to give these feline families official names.”
