Team Ontario scored two points in the final end to take a 10-9 victory over Team B.C. in Wednesday night’s final pool game at the Tim Horton’s Brier, held in Brandon, Man.

Ontario lead and Napanee native Scott Chadwick had an 83 per cent accuracy rating in the game. Ontario had built a 6-2 lead through three ends but saw B.C. chip away with one in the fourth and three in the sixth. B.C. took a 9-8 lead heading into the final end before Ontario was able to rally with two of their own and steal the win.

With the win Ontario finished with a 4-3 record, which was good enough for third overall in Pool B. B.C. took the fourth spot with an identical 4-3 record. Alberta led the way at 7-0 while Canada was 6-1.

Ontario’s Scott McDonald rink enters the playoffs as fifth overall in the eight team playoff round. The playoffs begin tomorrow at 3 p.m. when they take on Saskatchewan.
