For the third year, Lansing Gifts and Gallery in Downtown Greater Napanee needs the community’s help. Their goal is to tackle one of the most visible signs of poverty by giving kids in need new shoes to attend school with dignity. Together we can ensure that no child is wearing shoes that are too old or too small.
Drop off new shoes in all sizes (children and adults) to Lansing Gifts & Gallery at 3 Dundas Street East, Greater Napanee, where they will deliver them to local schools for distribution.
A new pair of shoes can be life-changing for a child. Increased self-esteem increases physical activity, decreases behaviour problems and can even improve attendance. Shoes can be very expensive for parents, and oftentimes they need to buy two pairs at a time (indoor and outdoor).
