The Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation’s 26th annual LACGH Foundation Golf Tournament in support of Keeping Health Care Close to Home will tee off Aug. 2 at the Napanee Golf & Country Club.
Since 1996, community and partners have come together to raise over $800,000 for much needed medical equipment, services and capital improvements for the local hospital. LACGH Foundation members are planning for this year to be another tremendous success and have set a goal of $60,000 to help fund the critical medical equipment needs of the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital.
“The communities within Lennox & Addington and surrounding area have always shown such great support toward the hospital and Foundation through the annual golf tournament,” said Amanda Chalk, program coordinator with the LACGH Foundation. “A great location, great weather and the perfect networking opportunity.”
New to the tournament will be a putting contest where participants can show off their skills and accuracy to win great prizes. Peter Boyer Chev Buick GMC will also be giving participants the opportunity for a chance at a brand new vehicle for the hole-in-one prize.
Returning this year will be Memory Lane, a tribute to those loved and lost. Located along the cart path between holes one and two, the names of loved ones will be placed on signs as a symbol of remembrance.
An on-line silent auction in support of the tournament will also be returning July 28 and end the evening of Aug. 2. Donations of once in a lifetime experiences, gift certificates and more are now being accepted at the Foundation office.
The tournament is sold out for both morning and afternoon tee times; however, great sponsorship opportunities remain for businesses and community partners who would like to show their support.
