The Napanee Animal Shelter was the beneficiary of the L&A County General Hospital’s ‘casual dress down Friday’, where participating staff paid $1 each into a fund in exchange for ‘dressing down’ on Fridays. Each year, a charity is selected at random and the funds donated to that cause. Last Friday, the hospital employees donated $1,728 to the Napanee SPCA. Past beneficiaries include the Salvation Army, the United Way and Interval House. (Submitted)
