KFLA Public Health reports nine new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, active case count at 124

KFLA Public Health noted nine new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, with seven recoveries to place the active case count in the region at 124.

The latest cases involve a female age 18 to 29, close contact, a female age 18 to 29, outbreak related, a female in her 40s, under investigation, a female in her 60s, CC, a male under 10, close contact, a male in his 40s, UI, a male in his 40s, CC, a male in his 50s, UI and a male in his 60s, CC.

Seven new variants of concern have been identified in previously known cases and there was one new healthcare worker identified with two new hospitalizations. One previous hospital patient has been discharged.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 1,454 total cases in the region with 1,327 recoveries and three deaths. There are currently five people in the hospital due to COVID-19 from the region, two in an ICU with one on a ventilator.
