KFLA Public Health reports 40 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, active case count reaches new high of 199

KFLA Public Health saw 40 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the active case count in the region to an all-time high of 199.

The ages break down are as following with the number of new cases in brackets:

Under 4 (4),

5-11 (4),

12-17 (2),

18-29 (11),

30s (6),

40s (6),

50s (2),

60s (3),

70s (1),

Unknown age (1)

The method of infections were close contact (17), outbreak related (2), under investigation (21).

Three new people were admitted to hospital due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of people in hospital at 12, five of which are in the ICU.
