On June 28 at approximately 4 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP observed a vehicle travelling westbound on Hwy 401 near Shannonville at speeds in excess of 170 km/h.
Officers stopped the vehicle and, as a result, recovered stolen property with a value of more than $26,000.
As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged a 31-year-old, and 35-year-old, both of Brampton, with:
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5,000
The 35-year-old driver was further charged with
- Driving a motor vehicle with no licence
- Stunt driving
The accused have been released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Sept. 29.
The items were taken from multiple retail outlets and the investigation is continuing.
