Haller, Amat each net a pair as U18 Stars double up Stirling 4-2

The Napanee U18 Stars earned another win, 4-2, facing Stirling at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Zered Haller put them on the board in the first going five-hole. Luc Amat would add to the total with a short-handed breakaway tally in the second. In the third Amat would go coast-to-coast from behind his own net for the win. Haller added an insurance marker with help from Spencer Cranley and Amat. Shots on goal favoured the locals 37-27. Sam Rickard was solid between the pipes.

-The Frank’s Drilling U15 Stars dominated Brighton 6-0 on Saturday to remain at the top of the standings with a 6-0 record in league play. Wes Davey and Liam Birney each scored twice, with Wyatt Albright and Callen Wilson adding singles. Jack Godfrey earned the shutout for Napanee. Earlier, they cruised past Stirling 7-2. Tivon James had a pair of goals for Napanee. Other scorers were Ben Kerr, Devin Robinson, Kohen Cutler, Wilson, and Luc Asselstine.

-The Napanee U13’s settled for a 3-3 tie at home to Campbellford. Quinn McConnell had a pair for the locals, and Chase Castagnier scored the other.

-The Napanee U11 squad fell 14-1 in Stirling on Saturday. Sullivan Elliot scored the lone goal for the Stars. On Sunday, in Lakefield, they were shut out 7-0.
