Drivers will want to dust off their antique cars and break out the lawn chairs Sept. 7 when Guitars and Cars comes roaring back into Napanee.
Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., four blocks of Dundas street will be closed for show cars and two blocks for show bikes.
The event is being hosted by Downtown Greater Napanee and Napanee Valley Cruisers.
Cost for vehicle admission is $5 and the first 350 through the gate will receive a dash plaque.
Musical entertainment for the day is Deja Vu, a seven piece band playing hits from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.
There will be a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital.
Many shops will be out and about selling their merchandise and trinkets.
“This is a fantastic event,” said Tiffany Lloyd, Downtown Greater Napanee BIA business manager and organizer of the event said. “There will be lots of good shopping.”
A BBQ will be hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion while Gino’s Street Eats and Rocky Mountain Smoothie Co. will all be there selling their cuisine.
The Keto Bakery will be on the street selling old fashioned floats with all proceeds going to Kitten Rescue.

“Last year we were told by Barr Construction we had three weeks to plan an event if we wanted one on the newly finished road before they opened it to traffic,” Lloyd told The Beaver. “We filled it with cars and had live music and it was a blast. The car club asked us how many blocks we could close down next year, so we decided to go big and it has received a lot of amazing feedback and people are very excited.”
