Greater Napanee will be helping residents go green in honour of Earth Day by hosting a free seedling giveaway April 30 in the parking lot of the SPC.
Running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or while supplies last, members of the town will be handing out free Red Oak, Silver Maple, Sugar Maple, White Birch, White Pine, Red Pine, White Cedar and Hackberry.
Those that attend are asked to bring a pail for the seedlings and to keep the roots cool, dark and moist. For the best results they should be planted as soon as possible.
