Greater Napanee Gymnastics Club shines at provincials

Greater Napanee Gymnastics Club recently wrapped up its competitive season with 14 athletes qualifying to take part at provincials.

Members of the competitive team include: Kennedy Else (Level 4), Lauralyn O’Neil (Level 2), Theresa Kerr (Level 2), Dorothy Wood (Level 2) and Quinn Stacey (Level 2).

Also qualifying for provincials were Anna Wynn (placing fifth on beam, sixth on bars, seventh all around for Level 4), Meira Weese (Level 4), Kaiah Weese (Level 4), Avery Greyling (second on beam for Level 4), Isla Bibby (fourth on beam, third on bars, first on vault, third all around for Level 4), Nara (ninth on floor for Level 4), Natalie Barber (Level 5), Brynn Woodcock (Level 5 and Seleena Anger (Level 6).

Season highlights included a competition in Smiths Falls that saw Isla and Anna place first overall with Quinn earning 9.75 on beam and 9.675 on floor with Dorothy scoring 9.55 on beam.

At a tumblers competition Dorothy and Avery each picked up first all around for their level.

At a Woodbridge competition Theresa scored 9.5 on vault, Anna scored 9.625 on beam and Quinn scored 9.525 on floor, finishing first overall.

In Les Stittelles Dorothy was first overall with a score of 9.7 on beam while Lauralyn earned 9.4 on beam.
