GNES issues open air ban through May 15

Greater Napanee Emergency Services’ annual open air burn ban is once again in effect, running from April 1 to May 15.

Early spring traditionally produces the highest incident rate for open air burning complaints and fires that require an emergency response.

Fines and cost recovery penalties may be applied to anyone caught operate an outdoor fire. GNES also reminds all residents that an open air burn permit is required for any open air burning. They are free of charge and can be obtained at the fire hall on 66 Advance Ave. in Napanee.
