Dock repairs and the subsequent closing of the Glenora Ferry have been rescheduled to March 6-11.

The closure was originally scheduled to take effect on Feb. 27 but the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) announced it has been rescheduled.
As a result of scheduled repairs to the ferry docks, the Adolphustown to Glenora, and Glenora to Adolphustown ferry will be out of service from Monday, March 6 at 5 a.m. to Saturday, March 11 at 2 a.m.
A second closure is scheduled to take place later in the month, March 20 at 5 a.m. through March 25 at 2 a.m.

The MTO noted the closure is subject to change based on any contract work that requires the closure of the Quinte Skyway Bridge.

“The project consists of upgrading the hydraulic and electrical systems on the ramps at the Glenora and Adolphustown Ferry terminals,” explains Aruna Aundhia, senior media relations advisor for the MTO. “The work is to ensure ongoing reliable ferry service and reduced maintenance requirements.”
