Gatineau man charged with impaired driving in Addington Highlands

Members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On Oct. 19 at approximately 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Hwy 7 in Addington Highlands.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

A 58-year-old, of Gatineau, Quebec, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol –
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Nov. 15, 2022. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
