Four Bantam BB Stars net hat tricks in lopsided win over Norwood

The Napanee Calderwood Automation Bantam BBs earned a lopsided 15-1 victory in Norwood.  Four Stars had hat tricks- Spencer Cranley, Jack Osborne, Luc Amat, and Jayden Holden. Aaron Storms, Cameron Pearson, and Daniel Chase rounded out the scoring. Saturday’s visit by Tweed also earned the locals a win, a 7-0 shutout by Sam Rickard. Cranley had a hat trick, and Zared Haller and Osborne each notched a pair.

-The Country Butcher Shop Peewee BBs also had a solid weekend with an 11-0 shutout of the County at the Wellington arena. Mason Goodfellow netted four, while Dylan Kemp and Owen Kish each had a pair. Kohen Cutler, and Blake and Tie Wood did the rest of the damage. At the SPC on Saturday, they blanked Brighton 16-0. Goal scorers included Goodfellow (four), Kemp (three), Sam McCaw (two), Cutler (two), Tie Wood (two), Joaquim Murray (one), Scott Scrimshaw (one), and Blake Wood (one). Aiden Difazio was perfect in net.

-The Napanee Windoorman Midget BBs got their second victory in a week over Tweed on Friday night, this time by a 6-3 score.  Saturday they shut out Brighton 2-0. Caden Holmes found the back of the net midway in the first frame, assisted by Josh Reid. Mason Barker added an insurance goal from Quinton Pierce in the second period. Emerson Kennelly recorded the shutout.

-The AFW Construction Atom BBs lost 4-2 in Wellington on Friday. They fell behind before William Babcock scored, assisted by Peyton Brooks.  Colton Lockridge got them within one, with 11:27 left, but they could not complete the comeback. Sunday, at home to Frontenac, the Stars put forth a strong performance to win 5-2. Jack Sutton’s harmless looking shot eluded the goalie. Ben Kerr assisted. After goalie Carter Cork thwarted a penalty shot, Kerr picked up a puck short handed, went in alone to score. Babcock earned the assist. Zache Wilde came out of the penalty box to combine with Brock Alaver who made it 3-1.  Lockridge made some fancy moves out of the corner on the power play, and Cooper Seaton got an empty netter.

-Earlier, the Napanee Canadian Tire Peewee AEs defeated Stirling 4-1 at the SPC.  Ethan Kouri scored two unassisted goals, while Lucas Asselstine had one unassisted, and Jacob Cox tallied once assisted by Nate Vanberkel.  The Atom AEs were shut out by Loyalist 9-0.
