Five new COVID-19 cases, two new outbreaks reported in KFLA on Thursday

KFLA Public Health reported five new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, as well as outbreaks at Trillium Community Care and Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, both located in Kingston.

An outbreak of a long-term care facility means at least one confirmed case while an outbreak in an elementary school means at least two confirmed cases.

Thursday’s cases include a male in his 20s, which is under investigation, a male age 10-19, which was outbreak related, a male in his 30s who had been in close contact with a previously known case, a female in her 30s and a female in her 20s, both of which were under investigation.

The total number of active cases is now at 19. The number of cases since the start of the pandemic in the KFLA region is at 204, of which 185 have been resolved with no deaths. None of the current cases are listed as being hospitalized.
