Five new COVID-19 cases in KFLA on Wednesday, new international travel regulations to Canada

KFLA saw five new COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, compared to seven recoveries to put the active case count at 50.

The latest cases involve a male in his 20s, under investigation, a female  in her 20s, under investigation (health care worker), a male in his 60s, close contact, a male in his 70s, close contact and a female in her 90s, close contact.

The health unit also announced starting Jan. 7 air travellers will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before boarding international flights to Canada. More information for travellers entering Canada is available from the Government of Canada: ow.ly/paMl50CZmrl #COVID19KFLA
