Lights were flashing and horns were blaring Tuesday night as first responder vehicles performed a siren salute outside healthcare facilities throughout Greater Napanee.
Fire trucks from Greater Napanee, Stone Mills, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Tyendinaga Township and Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte were joined by paramedics from Lennox and Addington. They rolled past Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, John M Parrott Centre, Riverine and Finlay House, showing their appreciation for healthcare workers working around the clock to keep people safe from COVID-19.
Along with the stream of vehicles, members of the public stood outside the hospital to clap and cheer.
