Beat the drum and hold the phone, the sun came out and Softball Napanee announced it would be hosting spring training clinics the week of March 22.

For those interested in playing for the Express this year, coaches are looking for boys and girls players from U8 up to U19. The spring training clinics are an opportunity to gear up for the upcoming season.

Due to COVID guidelines, numbers for the indoor clinics are limited.

Earlier this month the Ontario Softball Association announced it plans on running a full slate of tournaments and events for all age groups in 2021. Though they are unsure of what COVID-19 restrictions will be in place later this summer, the OASA was able to run some U14, U16 and U19 tournaments last year. As for the Express, they were able to hold intersquad games towards the end of last summer, though they hope to welcome other teams to the diamond this year.
