Express Deliver Gold As Pick-Ups

A pair of Napanee Express players played a role in helping some out of town teams reach gold this summer, serving as pick-ups. Bryson Gilpin (left) was picked up by the Palmerston Imperials. He played at the Canadian championships and won gold last month in Palmerston. Easton Thompson was picked up by the Otterville Otters and won gold at the Eastern Canadian championships in Fredericton NB which was hosted Aug 24-27. Both boys contributed at the plate and defensively to make their teams stronger. Next year the boys hope to be in Stouffville at the Canadian championship, fighting for a gold with the Softball Napanee Peewee Express. It’ll be held Aug 8-12. Submitted photo.
