Over the past few years we have witnessed the Federal Government paying millions of dollars to individuals with questionable reputations, as a result of federal mistakes.
The two “Michaels”, with impeccable reputations, spent over two years in Chinese prisons as a result of another bungled decision by our government, yet we see no financial restitution. Why? Why are they not being compensated for suffering for months on behalf of Canada? No one, including the Liberal government, will begrudge them fair compensation.
