The Easter Bunny will be hopping into Erinsville’s Beaver Lake Lion’s Park on April 9 for photos and to hand out some goodies.
From 1-3 p.m. he’ll be inside the gazebo by the lake, meeting with families. The event is once against hosted by the Tamworth and District Lions Club and is free of charge, though donations to support their programs will gladly be accepted.
“The Lion’s Club has created a festive Easter back drop so the Easter Bunny so is going to be in a rocking chair and there will be a couple of seats beside him for kids so kids are welcome to go up to him and visit and pose for pictures with their families and we’re even opening it up to their pets,” said Lisa Stienburg of the Tamworth and District Lions. “So if people have well socialized dogs that they want to have get a picture with the Easter Bunny, they’re welcome to do that as well.”
This year’s event will be a bit different than previous Easter Bunny and Santa visits at Beaver Lake Park, which were held in a drive-thru format. With COVID-19 restricts being lifted, this year’s photos will be moved out of the parking lot and into the actual park. This year families are encouraged to stick around and kids can decorate foam eggs to hang on the egg tree as well as create some sidewalk chalk art. Lion’s Club members will be handing out free hot chocolate and treat bags for kids and there will be a free draw to win a basket loaded with candy from Napanee’s Convenient Candy Shop. Members of the Tamworth volunteer fire department will also be on site to both control traffic and to interact with kids who want to check out a fire truck.
New this year, Caitie McNichols of Caitie’s Critters will be bringing some bottle-fed calves to the event.
Registration for the event isn’t required though the Tamworth and District Lion’s do ask that people click ‘planning to attend’ on their Visit and Pictures with the Easter Bunny event Facebook page so they have a general idea for how many guests to except.
Beaver Lake Lion’s Park is located at 5783 County Rd 41 in Erinsville.
